REHACARE International 2006, International Trade Fair and Congress for Rehabilitation, Care, Prevention, and Integration, will represent the rehabilitation and care markets of 31 countries and will be the meeting point for trade visitors from more than 60 nations. The event will be held from October 18 - 21, 2006, at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.
More than one third of the 800 REHACARE 2006 exhibitors will be from outside of Germany. Particularly for countries with a strong focus on exports, REHACARE has an indispensable platform and the list of represented countries ranges from Argentina to the U.S. International companies will either participate with their own booths or as part of a country’s group exhibit. This year, REHACARE will feature group exhibits from Great Britain, Denmark, Finland, France, Japan, and Taiwan.
The largest European (excluding Germany) exhibitor contingent at REHACARE 2006 will come from Great Britain. The first ever official British Pavilion at REHACARE will be managed by Medilink Yorkshire and Humber (Y&H), who will help an already flourishing rehabilitation and assistive-technologies sector in Great Britain to develop further on a global scale. On 1,900 square feet of exhibit space, 20 British companies will display their products in the group stand. A further 18 companies will exhibit individually.
Denmark will also be very prominent at REHACARE 2006. The 6,400-square-feet group exhibit will be organized by the Dansk Rehab Gruppe (DRG) the Danish association for manufacturers and suppliers of products and assistive devices for rehabilitation. For the DRG and its members, REHACARE is the premier export trade fair and 17 companies will be part of the group exhibit, with another ten members participating individually.
A total of 31 companies from the Netherlands will present products and services for medical and nursing care, mobility, communication, job and training, leisure and travel, rehabilitation and care associations and organizations, as well as assistive devices for the blind and orthopedic-assistive devices.
Italy also considers REHACARE a must, and 13 exhibitors will display mobility and orthopedic-assistive devices and new technologies for construction and housing, leisure, sports, and recreation.
The U.S. will be represented by 8 direct exhibitors who will use REHACARE 2006 as an international platform for their innovative rehabilitation technologies. U.S. companies recognize REHACARE as one of the leading trade fairs for the industry, and regularly showcase the newest and most important trends.
The Japan Assistive Products Association (JASPA) will organize the joint national exhibit at REHACARE 2006 and six Japanese companies will showcase sanitary equipment, wheelchairs, lifts, and nursing beds.
The largest country-group exhibit will be from Taiwan: 38 exhibitors will showcase vehicles, electric wheelchairs, and scooters. The developments in this field have benefited from the strong bicycle and motorcycle industry in Taiwan, which successfully exports its sophisticated components and technologies around the globe.
