New Face on the Admissions Staff

Heather Emerson Jeremy of Perinton (a suburb of Rochester, New York) has joined NTID’s Office of Admissions as a Senior Admissions Counselor.

A native of Rogers, Minnesota, Jeremy graduated from RIT in 1997 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She previously worked as a processing support specialist and electronic-network service specialist at Paychex Corporation, and as a pricing-team leader at Target Corporation.

She will work with applicants from the Northeast region of the United States, visiting schools and processing applications for student admissions.

Background: The National Technical Institute for the Deaf, one of eight colleges of Rochester Institute of Technology, is the first and largest technological college for deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Around 1,100 are enrolled each year, taking courses in both NTID and/or RIT, living, studying, and socializing with RIT’s 14,400 undergraduate hearing students.
